    Isla of Adventure

by Dela Costa and illustrated by Ana Sebastian

A book for people who love animals and have a lot of secrets.

    In a Nutshell

Overall rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

    Age at first reading: 8

    Scariness: Not scary

    Funniness: Very funny

    Love stuff: None

    Willow's Take

The ever-curious Isla Verde adventures through her home island of Sol, where she can speak to animals...and they speak back!

But a new family moves in with a girl named Tora Rosa and Isla finds it difficult to keep her secret.

There are also a few other books in this series, and the next book is Isla of Adventure (The Secret Cabana).

Actually, I think this book is all about nature, featuring Isla's life. Read it to see her experience of having new neighbors and how she communicates with animals. I think an 8-year-old will enjoy it most, because she is 8 years old as well.

Do you wish you could talk to animals like Isla?
