    Sierra's Take

This book is about a boy named Christopher, who's father is super protective. For some reason, animals always flock to him. One day, he goes to his grandfather, Frank's house to stay for a bit. Then he discovers the amazing Archipelago. It is also about a girl called Mal, whose name is short for Malum. Her great-aunt was murdered and she just managed to escape. One day, Christopher and Mal's lives meet and they have to save the glimourie and the Archipelago, if not all the creatures will die. They fear that something very evil and sinister is doing something to the tree that the Immortal was first born from. The Immortal is the only one who knows how to go through the maze and check on the tree, but nobody, not even the Immortal himself/herself knows who is the Immortal. Can Christopher and Mal save the Archipelago before its too late?

I really love this book. This book is the most popular kids book, and I really see why. It's so good that I couldn't bear to put down this book, and once I was finished, I had to read it several times again. I loved reading about Christopher and Mal's adventures, as well as reading about the creatures they faced. The book even has a description of the creatures they face, both the bad and the good, in the front. The description of the animals has what they do, what they are called and even has illustrations! I really want to know if Gelifen really is the last griffin. I really wish the Katherine Rundell had written something about whether Gelifen is the last griffin or not. But judging by what the characters say, I think he is. :( I like how there is a bit of romance in the story, not too much, just a tiny bit, to make it more interesting. One of my favourite parts is when the centaur, Petroc betrays them and the ratatoska, Ratwin, comes back and says she made life miserable for him. Overall, I think this book is super awesome and it is probably good for most ages. I absolutely recommend it.
