Sierra's Take
This book is a classic. I actually read it when I was 7, but I didn't really understand it. I also initially hated it because it had a bit of a tragic ending. I read again for a school project when I was 10, and only then did I actually understand and like it. My favourite chapter of this book is chapter 11: The Miracle. At school we also did a play on this book, and my group did 'The Miracle'. I was Mr Zuckerman. :) so, this book is basically about a pig named Wilbur, who was the runt of the litter and was going to be killed by Mr Arable. (I think that's his name), but Fern saved him. Eventually Wilbur was sold to Mr Zuckerman, and Mr Zuckerman was going to kill him for Christmas dinner. >:) Charlotte, a grey spider, thought of a plan to save Wilbur's life. She carried out the plan, (No spoilers) and saved Wilbur's life. In the end, Wilbur survived and didn't become Christmas dinner. Charlotte died. (Spoiler alert!!!) The end. I liked it, but I can't say I loved it. I like that the main characters are mostly animals, not humans. I just wish it was more funny, or had a bit of love stuff, or, like Impossible Creatures, not be so funny but has lots of adventure. Overall, I think this book is ok, not super good, but perfect if you want to do this for a school project, or just read it for fun.
