Every year, my family goes somewhere during the December holidays. However, the location is kept a secret by my parents. This has actually become a bit of a tradition for us.
The reveal for 2022 was New York City and Boston! I loved the candy shops in NYC, especially Economic Candy and Dylan's Candy. In Economic Candy there was a 5 pound (around 2 kg) gummy bear, lollipops with grasshoppers and cockroaches inside, and soooo much more! I also really loved the museums there, especially the Met museum. I usually don't really like art museums, but this one was AMAZING!
My sister was 6 and I was 8 when we read these books.
On to the books about New York City:
Lonely Planet Kids: New York City Trails
This was a super duper helpful guide and a really good book in general. I really like how the book tells you about the different places in NYC, but also with some humour in it, which made it really entertaining to read. This book also helped me list down a series of places I wanted to go, and some of the places include: Economic Candy, Dylan's Candy and Hell's Kitchen. We also went to a couple souvenir shops and got some awesome souvenirs. We went to Central Park and saw some guys playing in a band. I think we stayed somewhere in Manhattan. I think this book is super good, and if you're going to NYC anytime soon, I really recommend you getting it.
Actually they have these books for London, Paris, and other major cities too.
